森城海鮮酒家 Sam Shing Seafood Restaurant

Walking around in Causeway Bay, we encountered several human sized shrimp. A promotional stunt for Calbee brand shrimp chips. They didn't want to give me a bag of chips though, because I couldn't like their facebook page, since I don't have internet on my phone here. They let me take a photo anyway though.

We took the tram from Causeway Bay to Wan Chai. There's pretty much 1 straight track from east-west on HK island. And it costs only 2.3HK$ to traverse the whole island by tram. In Euros that would be 23 cents. Sure beats the GVB.

Baked goodness, no explanation needed

I'm not sure what this guy was selling, but he looked so grumpy I didn't dare ask him.

So we we're on our way to the 188 mall in Wan Chai. And one of our friends wanted to get a 'slice of pizza', I was prepared for a small snack. Turned out a slice of pizza is the size of a servering tray.

One Piece crew

Since it's almost halloween a lot of vendors have masks for sale, I'm contemplating wether I should get this Bill Clinton mask.

Random jade vendor

Random meat/butcher shop, loads of intestines and other innards. Not really my thing.

Stopped in the middle of the street to make this one, shouting YOLO would be appropriate here.

Seafood, pick your own. I've learned a little bit of Cantonese so I'm able to understand numbers at least. We asked how much 1kg of shrimp would cost us, the guy answered with 88HK$ in Cantonese. But we told him, we don't speak Chinese, then he answered: 120HK$. After a lengthy discussion we got it for 88HK$. A small victory!!

Mantis shrimp, we got 3 huges ones, probably our best choice that day, they we're yummy.

We brought our fresh seafood (still alive) to a restaurant just 50 metres away from the market. There they prepared everything for us. The guy kept laughing at us because we bought so much. Around 1kg per person. But we finished everything in the end!, even though it costs us several mouth watering hours.
