About Chu Kan

My name is Chu Kan Tse. I'm also a 3rd year master student of the faculty of dentistry at ACTA Amsterdam. I'm 24 years old and from Hong Kong descent. I'm part of a big family consisting of an older sister (ancient already by now), a brother and a little sister. For those who wonder if I have a meaningful name, I'll have to dissapoint you. Unfortunately my name doesn't have a meaning at all, it's based on the number of logograms. Well don't ask me to explain, it's too complicated.

Since my childhood I've always been interested in using tools to repair things like radio's or other electronic devices.  Sadly in 100% of the cases it turned out that I broke them rather than repairing them. Not very funny for my parents :P. During the early years of my high school I was already determined to become a dentist, partially because of the great instruments a dentist use and partially because of my family's fear of dentists.

During the period september-december 2013 I will be conducting research at  the HKU (Hong Kong University) with my great friend Dane Tio a.k.a. the evil twin. Like Dane I will also investigate the plastic (permanent) deformation that arises after either clinical use and/or autoclaving of the novel HyFlex Controlled Memory files.

I've been several times to Hong Kong, because of my relatives. This is the first time that I will be in Hong Kong for this long. Luckily I will be staying at the house of my auntie which is kind of in the middle of nowhere, a small village. I'm really looking forward to the internship with my good friends Dane, Kylie and Jeffrey!
